A big thankyou to the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 122

.. for contributing $2344 to the Friends of the Golden & District Hospital form their Poppy Fund. The Legion made their contribution by cheque, earlier in the year, so the donation does not show on the internet crowd-funding campaign.

For people who which to support the hospital and contribute to the campaign, but do not want to donate over the internet, the Friends of the Golden & District can accept cheques made out to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, Friends of the GDH. Cheques can either be dropped off at the Hospital or call me and I can arrange to have them picked up.

Use of proceeds from 2016 fundraiser

AS of September 1^st, all the money raised in the 2016 Thanksgiving Fundraiser has been spent on equipment for the Golden & District Hospital and Durand Manor.

In total $19,125 was raised during the online fundraising event “Giving Thanks to the Golden & District Hospital” in 2016

Small gifts can make a big difference and have a huge impact on the equipment needs of a small rural hospital. Detailed below is a list of the equipment purchased and processed through the account dedicated to the Friends of the GDH (#2000) administered by the EKFH as of September 1^st ,2017.

Friends of Golden and District Hospital is a group of volunteers that wish to provide important funding for the Golden and District Hospital and Durand Manor. These are important assets in the community that has saved the lives of many of our loved ones. It is also a place that has provided comfort and compassion in the situations where lives can no longer be saved.

Giving Thanks to Golden and District Hospital is a fundraising campaign that requires the support of the entire community and all our friends. When we work together as a community, we can achieve great things and help our hospital continue the important work they do.

If 1000 friends each gave $50 we would reach our goal!!

The money raised by the Friends of the Golden & District Hospital stays in Golden and is used to purchase equipment for the Golden Hospital and Durand Manor.
