How to attribute your donation.

I have noticed there are a couple of anonymous donations resulting from a change in the privacy policy of Canada Helps. Unless you give permission to show your name, your donation will appear as "anonymous". To have your name shown and be recognized you must check the box;

 

  Display my name and donation amount on Friends of the Golden & District Hospital's fundraising page.

Even then your name will be displayed with your first name and only the initial of your surname. 

For example my donation is attributed it to "Keith H."

To show your full name and be recognized you must include your full name in the message box. For example in the box "Add a message of support" type;

"Thanks to the staff at GDH, Keith W. Hern" or

" In memory of Joe, Jane Doe"

If you wish to remain anonymous ignore the above.

The Golden Hospital Lab would like a digital micsoscope system and an upright plasma freezer

The Lab at the Golden & District hospital is in need of funds to purchase some new equipment including a digital microscope system, an upright plasma freezer, and a high performance lab refrigerator.

 

 Digital Microscope Systems integrate digital technology with high quality microscope optics into a seamless easy-to-use system.

 "This microscope is used to examine urine samples for blood, crystals, and cells. These results are used to help diagnose and monitor patients with kidney disease.  Our current microscope has aged, and we hope to upgrade to a more efficient and user-friendly device that would be easier for laboratory staff to use." Dr.Daniel Manders.

Medical-grade -30C freezers are designed for the unique needs of critical healthcare applications such as the storage of plasma and other blood components.

"This freezer is a precisely temperature-controlled device used to store plasma. Plasma is a component of blood and given to patients to treat severe bleeding in trauma, blood clotting disorders and liver disease. Our current freezer requires replacement to ensure continued provision of this life saving blood component." Dr. Daniel Manders

Golden Hospital & Durand Manor gratefull for generous donations

Dear Keith and Brenna,

We are thrilled that the Mini C-Arm for Golden & District Hospital arrived in March. We could not be more grateful! Staff education and in-services took place in April and the unit is now available for use in the Operating Room.  This equipment extends the scope of practice and increases the volume of surgeries that can be done within the Golden hospital. The image clarity and system flexibility supports challenging extremity procedures..

We are tremendously grateful for your continued support that makes these equipment purchases possible.

The fundraiser "Giving Thanks to The Golden & District Hospital 2022" closed yesterday and raised $35,445 in total; $19,245 on the Canada Helps website and $16,200 in cheques and pledges.
