As of 7:00 this morning gifts amount to $5430.
Giving Thanks to the Golden & District Hospital got off
to an early start. The page opened at midnight EST so was accepting donation at
10 pm MST yesterday. Gifts trickled in last night from late-night Facebook
followers in Calgary and friends from the UK and the east coast. Now it’s the turn of the early risers.
Special thanks to Jamie Blair who was quick to follow my
lead last night; Tony Danks who has remained a faithful friend of Frances and I
since high school; Dave Nutter who was one of the first to befriend us when we arrived
in Canada in 1973.
Peter and Helen Hawkes gifted from the UK with special
thanks to the hospital for the wonderful treatment Peter received after his
heart attack. Peter and Helen will be returning to Golden in December and hope
to make Canada their permanent residence. I'm sure having such a great facility, the Golden & District hospital, weighed in the decision.
Thanks also to the Dusevic Family, who lost the patriarch Joe this summer, for their generosity, and to the number of donors who choose to remain anonymous.
