Some charities charge a large administration fee reducing the amount available to the cause however, Canada Helps only takes a small administration fee of 3% and transfers
the funds to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) where it is
segregated into an account specifically for the Friends of the Golden and
District Hospital. The EKFH takes about 5% as an administration fee when
equipment is purchased, so for every Dollar donated approximately 92 cents is
available to the hospital for the purchase of equipment. A Very efficient way of raising funds for our hospital!
When you donate to the Friends of the Golden & District Hospital, Canada Helps will issue to you a charitable donation tax receipt for the full amount of the donation. The tax receipt will be emailed to you automatically. You can also print the tax receipt directly from the donation page. Your tax credit will vary depending on your level of donation. A Very efficient way for you to give to charity!
