With just over 3 days to go to the Thanks Giving weekend, the Friends of the Golden & District Hospital have raised $16,124; $5044 in cheques and $11,080 donated on the internet site.

Please keep the donations coming so we can reach our goal of $34,691 by October 7th.

Small gifts can make a big difference and have a huge impact on the equipment needs of a small rural hospital. The Golden and District Hospital and Durand Manor have an extensive list of small equipment, each under $5000, totaling $34,691 in excess of their annual budget.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used by the Golden & District Hospital and Durand Manor to purchase equipment on this list.

Three donors have indicated support for the sleeper chair as they know what a huge difference it makes for the birthing partner to be able to grab some sleep during prolonged labour and after the baby arrives.
