With just 36 hour to go in the fundraising campaign, the Friends of the Golden & District Hospital have raised $19,224; $7044 in cheques and $12,180 donated on the internet site.

That tops last years total and is a mere $776 away from $20,000. If there are 16 Friends who could each donate $50, we could reach $20,000 by October 7th.

As you approach the Thanksgiving weekend, take time to reflect and give thanks to the dedicated and compassionate staff that take care of our community from beginning to end; from the beginning in the maternity ward to the end in palliative care and all of our ailments in between.
