With just over 3 days to go to the Thanks Giving weekend, the Friends of
the Golden & District Hospital have raised $16,124; $5044 in
cheques and $11,080 donated on the internet site.
Please keep the donations coming so
we can reach our goal of $34,691 by October 7th.
Small gifts can make a big difference and have a huge impact on the
equipment needs of a small rural hospital. The Golden and District
Hospital and Durand Manor have an extensive list of small equipment,
each under $5000, totaling $34,691 in excess of their annual budget.
The
proceeds from this fundraiser will be used by the Golden & District Hospital and Durand Manor to purchase equipment on
this list.
Three donors have indicated support for the sleeper chair as
they know what a huge difference it makes for the birthing partner to be
able to grab some sleep during prolonged labour and after the baby
arrives.
This is the community's
opportunity to say thank you in a tangible way. You are part of that
community! Your donation, large or small, will help the hospital serve
the community better, serve you better.
Thank you
